Dimitris Agrafiotis, Ph.D.
Director of Digital Analytics and AI @ Arsenal Capital Partners
Dimitris Agrafiotis is the Director of Digital Analytics and AI at Arsenal Capital Partners, specializing in technology development and artificial intelligence applications in drug discovery. Previously, he served as Chief Digital Officer at Generata Biosciences and Vice President of Digital Research and Development at Covance, where he led transformation initiatives in pharmaceutical R&D. His industry experience includes significant contributions at Johnson & Johnson, where he progressed from Senior Research Fellow to Vice President of Informatics and established pioneering platforms like ABCD (Advanced Biological and Chemical Discovery). Dimitris completed his postdoctoral studies at Harvard University under Nobel Laureate Prof. E.J. Corey and at UC Berkeley under Prof. A. Streitwieser. He holds a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Imperial College London under Prof. H.S. Rzepa and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Patras, Greece.

Chris Waller, Ph.D.
VP and Chief Scientist at EPAM Systems
Chris Waller is the VP and Chief Scientist at EPAM Systems, specializing in life sciences informatics strategy and technology development. Previously, he served as Executive Director at a large global pharmaceutical organization, where he led scientific modeling platforms and real-world evidence initiatives. His industry experience includes leadership roles in enterprise architecture and healthcare informatics, where he advanced the use of electronic medical records and personal health record data to inform research and development efforts. He has been instrumental in pre-competitive technology development, serving as a founding evangelist of the Pistoia Alliance and leading strategic initiatives in chemistry informatics. Chris has extensive experience managing large-scale technology implementations, including leading a team of over 100 scientists and engineers across global operations. His contributions to open-source development and pre-competitive collaboration have helped shape industry standards in pharmaceutical research informatics. Chris holds advanced degrees in life sciences informatics and has over 30 years of experience in strategic planning and organizational development.

Barry Bunin, Ph.D.
CEO and Founder of Collaborative Drug Discovery (CDD)
Barry Bunin is the CEO and Founder of Collaborative Drug Discovery (CDD), specializing in modern cloud-based informatics solutions for drug discovery. Under his leadership, CDD developed the CDD Vault platform, which has become a cornerstone for data management and collaboration in pharmaceutical research, handling over 7 million user logins and billions of data points. Previously, he served as the founding CEO of Libraria and held leadership positions in drug discovery research. His industry experience spans both computational and experimental drug discovery, with significant contributions to the development of open-source descriptors and models that demonstrated comparable performance to commercial solutions. Barry pioneered the integration of open-source technologies in pharmaceutical research, advocating for collaborative approaches to drug discovery informatics. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from UC Berkeley and completed his postdoctoral research at Caltech. Under his direction, CDD has evolved from serving academic laboratories to supporting organizations across the entire spectrum of drug discovery, from biotechs to global pharmaceutical companies.
