Vault Snack #28 - Averting the Sample Apocalypse!

    CDD Vault Snack Logo

    Hello, CDD Vault users!

CDD Support is ringing in the New Year with a new Vault Snack. This one focuses on mastering your inventory management without losing your mind (or samples)!

    Expiration Alert

Adding expiration dates in Vault allows users to keep a close eye on their samples and avoid unnecessary waste.

First, let’s make sure every sample has an expiration date by editing existing samples or adding the date when you register new samples. If you don’t see an expiration date, ask your Vault Administrator to expose the default field on the Sample Fields Settings page.Setting Exportation Date

Next, go ahead and create your sample sentinel. Choose the project, how often you want the reminders (daily, weekly, etc.), and specify how close to the expiration date you want the alerts.

Email alerts will show either the number or names of samples that are expiring within the expiration period set in the alert.

    Inventory Summary

Summary reports are like a quick snapshot of your sample stash! You can get an overview of what’s still hanging out in the lab and what’s about to expire at both the molecule and batch level.

Just click “Customize your report,” and select “Inventory Summary” from the list of Molecule and Batch Fields.Inventory Summary

With these snazzy expiration alerts and handy summary reports, you can manage your samples like a pro. Click the sample count to view all inventory details and debit history.

CDD Support is always happy to schedule a working session to review these, or any other features in CDD Vault. Please contact support@collaborativedrug.com with any questions you may have or to schedule a tour.

If this Vault Snack leaves you hungry for more, all previous Vault Snacks can be found here and as always, feel free to contact CDD Support - we are available to help you succeed in using CDD Vault.

PS - Did you try the new Support AI ChatBot yet? You can find it in the upper right corner of CDD Vault, after logging in, next to the "Help" button. Give it a try and let us know your feedback!
