Agility with Complex Data Sets – Integration of Predicted and Empirical Data for Drug Discovery

    congruence banner

We recently hosted an insightful webinar featuring the team from Congruence Therapeutics, who shared how they're using CDD Vault alongside their proprietary systems to manage complex drug discovery data. The impressive lineup of speakers included Maximilian Ebert (Executive Director of Computational Chemistry), Jeremy Dupaul-Chicoine (Associate Director of Biology), and Lee Fader (Vice President of Chemistry).

    Pioneering Protein-Based Drug Discovery

Congruence is breaking new ground in computational drug discovery with their Revenir™ platform, which focuses on developing small molecule correctors for protein misfolding diseases. Their approach generates massive amounts of diverse data – from computational models to experimental results – requiring a robust data management strategy.

CDD Vault at the Center of Data Integration

A key highlight of the presentation was how Congruence uses CDD Vault as their central experimental data repository, seamlessly integrating it with their computational systems. Lee Fader highlighted their innovative use of CDD Vault in two key ways:

    1. A "sandbox" vault for virtual compound design and prioritization
    2. A registration vault for experimental compounds and data

The team showed how they leverage CDD Vault's REST API and security features to create a smooth workflow between their internal teams and external CROs, while maintaining data security and integrity.

    Building a Comprehensive Data Infrastructure

Congruence shared how they've built upon CDD Vault's foundation to create a comprehensive data management system that includes:

    • Integration with their proprietary Revenir™ Knowledge Base (RVKB)
    • Automated data pipelines for consistent updates
    • Seamless communication between computational predictions and experimental data
    • Secure data sharing with CROs and external partners

Key Takeaways for Drug Discovery Organizations

The webinar highlighted several valuable lessons for organizations managing complex drug discovery data:

    • The importance of having a secure, centralized experimental data repository
    • How to effectively integrate computational and experimental data
    • Strategies for managing data flow between internal teams and external partners
    • The value of automated workflows in maintaining data integrity

    What's Next?

The engagement and questions from attendees demonstrated strong interest in both Congruence's innovative approach and their implementation of CDD Vault. We look forward to potentially hosting future sessions diving deeper into specific aspects of their computational approaches and data management strategies.

We thank the Congruence team for sharing their expertise and providing valuable insights into how organizations can effectively manage complex drug discovery data using CDD Vault and complementary systems. If you would like to watch the recording, feel free to access it below.
