How to do more with less = Science Exchange + existing expert academic capacity

Science Exchange: Founder’s story: From Postdoc to Entrepreneur

At CDD we keep a close eye on the space where science, technology and collaboration meet. In the future new medicines will be found by labs collaborating, and leveraging modern technology. Economic pressures always challenged academic labs to find faster and better ways to work together, and now it is driving large Pharma and Biotech companies to externalize R&D efforts. Academic scientists rely on their networking to find collaborators when working with limited budgets, capacity, or internal expertise.

In this context we want to introduce “Science Exchange” to you, our user community. Barry Bunin (our CEO) met Elizabeth Iorns, the CEO and founder of Science Exchange at the Science Startup Conference earlier this summer. Like CDD, Science Exchange brings technology to science and helps collaborators to find each other. Science Exchange is an online marketplace with the academic science community in mind. Check out Elizabeth's inspiring story “From Postdoc to Entrepreneur”.  Happy reading!
