CDD Vault Update (December #2): Create a Sample from a Debit, Suggest Bioisosteres for Unregistered Structures, Copy Protocols Across Vaults

Create a Sample from a Debit:

Often it is necessary to keep track of an amount that is debited as its own sample. Check the “Create sample from debit” at the time of the debit. This will pre-populate the Batch, Initial Amount, Units and any other non-unique sample fields that were identified from the parent sample and the debited amount. Any remaining Sample Fields can be filled in for the new sample at this time.

After the debit and new sample are saved, the new sample record will display the Parent Sample identifier. The Parent Sample that was originally debited from will display the Child Sample Identifier as well.

**Note, units for the child sample can be updated after the child sample has been created if the child sample is a single-use sample.

    Suggest Bioisosteres for Unregistered Structures:

If you do not have the AI Add-on enabled in your vault, please contact your account manager or the CDD Vault Support Team to discuss enabling the following feature.

Previously, the CDD Vault AI tools could only be utilized for chemical structures that have been registered in CDD Vault. Now, launch the structure editor, draw any chemical structure and take advantage of the AI similarity search and bioisosteric replacement suggestions by clicking on the link in the bottom of the structure editor.

    Copy Protocols Across Vaults:

Protocol Details can now be shared across Vaults within the same CDD Account. Instead of recreating a protocol in a new vault, click the “Duplicate protocol details” link and the project options will include all projects that a user has access to across all of their vaults. Once the project is chosen, only the protocol details are shared with that new Vault and Project. Data within the protocol will not be shared with the new Vault.
