CDD Vault Update (April 2025): Biphasic Curve Fit, Import Parser Sections, Custom Calculation Functions, Generate Inventory Labels, Inventory Admin Permission

We are excited to announce a new round of features associated with our Curves add-on. If you are not yet subscribed to Curves, please contact your CDD Vault account manager or the CDD Vault Support Team to discuss enabling these features in your CDD Vault.

    Biphasic Curve Fit:

Vault Administrators can enable the new ‘Biphasic Equation’ curve fit by navigating to the Settings > Vault > Plots page. Once the curve fit type is enabled, the equation can be used in a ‘Plot’ protocol readout definition instead of the standard Hill Equation.

CDD Vault will automatically calculate the following parameters from the data imported using the Biphasic Equation:Biphasic Equation

    • Area under the curve
    • Frac
    • Log Center 1
    • Log Center 2
    • Maximum measured (RLU)
    • Minimum measured (RLU)
    • N
    • Plateau 1
    • Plateau 2
    • R squared
    • Slope 1
    • Slope 2

Import Parser - Enforced Ordering and Easier Subdividing:

When parsing multiple sections in a sheet, sections are ordered according to their position on the spreadsheet (i.e. top to bottom, left to right) instead of the order the assignment was added. Users can also repeat formats both horizontally and vertically within a single tab or across multiple tabs in a spreadsheet.

Import Parser - Enforced Ordering and Easier Subdividing:

Add multiple subsections per plate by using “Shrink active area” and “Add Area” buttons. This workflow reduces the number of clicks to add subsections making it easier to assign fixed values (e.g. conditions) to a subset of wells in a plate.

Shrink active area and Add Area buttons.

    Custom Calculations:

Create custom calculations within a protocol for “min”, “max”, and “count”. Calculations update as new data is imported.

    Create and Print Inventory Labels:

Search and filter for a list of samples on the Inventory tab. Click the Export Labels link.

    Create and Print Inventory Labels:

    Select from six layouts:

    1. Barcode only (Code 128)
    2. Barcode only (QR Code)
    3. Barcode (Code 128), Text Label
    4. Barcode (QR Code), Text Label
    5. Barcode (Code 128), 2 Text Labels
    6. Barcode (Code 128), Barcode (QR Code), Text Label

Set the label dimensions, the encoded field(s), and any text labels. Click Preview Label and verify the resulting image and total count. To create the PDF, simply click Generate Labels and then print the file.

    Select from six layouts:

    Inventory Management Permission

Vault administrators can now grant inventory management permissions to any user in the Vault, regardless of their user role. To give access, navigate to the Settings > Vault > Members page, edit a specific user, and check the Inventory admin checkbox. The Inventory Admin user will be able to access the Settings > Vault > Sample/Inventory Fields. They can add and remove fields and update inventory locations.
