By Charlie Weatherall, CDD's Director of Customer Engagement
Being an old timer in the life sciences/drug discovery software industry (I've officially passed the 30-year mark!), I am always surprised when something, well, surprises me. I've always known that Collaborative Drug Discovery (CDD) is a company with a heart. Our founder and CEO (Dr. Barry Bunin) always encourages everyone to explore ways to ensure that, as a corporate family, we make the world a better place. When I first joined CDD, this philosophy was even highlighted on the "corporate" slide-deck.
Personally, I've always taken great pride in CDD's involvement with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's work with the Tuberculosis Drug Accelerator (TBDA)
CDD even initiated a program to provide donations to the Institute for Rare and Neglected Diseases.
More recently, CDD quickly jumped in and supported efforts to find therapies for tackling the COVID pandemic.
The over-arching theme of these endeavors is the support of and encouragement to collaborate across the globe. Sharing is, in fact, caring… and in my opinion, CDD cares more than most.
In recognition of the important research and collaborations currently on-going in Africa, CDD continues the philosophy of giving back by announcing a policy for providing their flagship collaborative platform, CDD Vault, to scientists throughout the continent of Africa without charge.
Please see a welcome message below from Barry, and visit the application page for the terms & conditions and to apply.
