Collaborative Drug Discovery Response to COVID-19 Pandemic
Burlingame, California —April 20, 2020—Collaborative Drug Discovery Inc. (CDD) is involved in multiple international COVID-19 Public Private Partnerships (PPP) focused on repurposing and new therapeutics discovery - primarily in secure data sharing and mining. For 16 years, CDD has supported neglected disease preclinical drug discovery (core data sharing), with CDD Vault. CDD has also developed unique technologies to streamline the creation of FAIR Meta Data (BioAssay Express), and most recently automated LIVE semantic data streams (BioHarmony). These newer technologies complement core data sharing in more structured computer readable formats with direct applications to COVID-19 drug repurposing analyses. As the data available explodes, these technologies help normalize the emerging facts and keep abreast of developments. In all cases, there is a free version for publicly shared data (including a COVID-19 data set) coupled to a commercial version working with private, sensitive data.
CDD’s flagship product, CDD Vault, is used to manage chemical registration, structure-activity relationships (SAR), and securely scale collaborations. CDD Vault is a hosted database solution for secure management and sharing of biological and chemical data. It lets researchers for either humanitarian or commercial endeavors intuitively organize chemical structures and biological study data, and collaborate with internal or external partners through an easy to use web interface. To help fight misinformation, as early as January 28th, CDD has been updating the community on the scientific facts associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
